Eve is the first of her kind - a sentient ‘artificial person’ who on the surface seems perfectly human. Scratch beneath that surface even a little and find a robot capable of destroying the world - or perhaps saving it - if she manages to navigate her way through the perils of teenage life first.

Eve is a family drama, a sci-fi adventure series and a fish-out of-water comedy-of-manners all at the same time. The heart of the show is a sympathetic naïf confronted by human issues. This provides the series with an inquisitive attitude, emotionally engaging scenarios and touching relationships. Eve explores the sheer incongruity, the poignancy and the mayhem of a robot living under the cover of a teenage girl, under the roof of an ordinary family.

The series is underpinned by universal themes and conflicts. On one level it’s a show about the big ‘teen questions’ and Eve’s own concerns are like those of her friends. Eve is trying to understand the world around her and attempting to establish who she is and who she could be. At the same time she’s working out what friendship and family means, wondering where she fits in and of course she’s constantly testing boundaries!

Eve is the story of the world’s first fully sentient “artificial person”. A girl who’s destined to change the world but whether it’s for the better or for the worse is yet to been seen. The series explores the wonder, excitement, danger and humour of Eve’s situation - and in doing so, it asks big philosophical questions: “What is life?”, “What does it mean to be human?” and ultimately, “What is the destiny of humanity?”
